The "hottest" Akiba News in the World from Akihabara
Dear AkibaBlog readers

August 28, 2009

Dear AkibaBlog readers

AkibaBlog

Since we established AkibaBlog English Ver. in 2008, we have sent Akiba's hot news to the whole world. But sadly, AkibaBlog English Ver. will be suspended by the end of August.
We are very sorry for you who have been looking forward to reading our blog.

Japanese version of AkibaBlog continues to report what's going on in Akiba; we are more than happy if you continue to check Japanese version up.

English version of AkibaBlog will be suspended, but please, keep in touch with Akiba and Japan!

Thank you everybody.
We do appreciate your support!

Hope to see you guys somewhere, someday!!

With Love
AkibaBlog Staff

Why? I love akibablog and check it everyday. I am working on my Japanese but it takes time. I'am very disappointed but well try to fallow on the japanese ver. But what is the reason? Is it to time consuming or financial issues?

Mike:

I will miss you guys, don't do this to me! 。・゚・(ノД`)・゚・。

Cailin Coilleach:

Oh no! This is awful! ;_;

I look forward to reading your blog posts every day and have bought a few of the books you describe each weeks. I love how your website combines good looks with great news from Akiba.

I will definitely subscribe to your Japanese RSS feed, even if I don't understand the writing.

Thank you for all your hard work in the past.

Awww, nooo! :( I've been following the English version since it launched. It'd be really sad to lose you guys. I don't know why this came to be, but it seems a certainty at this point. So thank you very much for these great past 2 years of amazing coverage!

Cailin Coilleach:

I thought I would at least leave a tribute to all the hard work you have done for us in the past.

I read this blog even when it was in Japanese and got very happy when It went out in English. These news are sad...Thank you for everything and from now on I must work harder on my japanese in order to read the japanese version.

Please everybody support erogeshop and himeya soft.

Bryoz:

Seriously? That sucks.. majorly.

I really enjoy reading the English version of this blog. I find it to be the most up to date blog in English, with news and products directly from Akiba. Despite learning Japanese currently, it takes time. I'm not at a level where I can understand fluently yet.

I'm hoping that since you say 'suspended', that you will eventually return to posting the English translation.

Wont you at least give your loyal readers an insight as to why you stopped?

Blaine:

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it something I did or didn't do!?

FSF:

OTL

Well, thanks for making an English Akibablog available for as long as it was. Best luck to the continued success of JP Akibablog!

magBLAZER:

WHAT?! NO!! OMG WHY?!!! Man, this sucks!

With AkibaBlog -English Version- now gone, I'll have to go back to resort using Google Translate to translate any news from the original AkibaBlog from Japanese to English.

I come to both versions of AkibaBlog everyday for some news in Japan, particularly anything related to manga.

Well, since you say 'suspended', I really hope that AkibaBlog will come back someday in the future. So, instead of saying "Goodbye", I'll just say "See you guys later."

denpanosekai:

What the hell? WHY?!??!?!?

Eardin:

Too bad, I hope this suspend didn't take long. I hope it will be back.

sporkhead:

Juliano:

somic:
