Chuni-Byo (中二病). That is a terrible disease. And every single person, yes, including you, came down with the disease. Even though this disease exists in the whole world, in recent years, it was finally found out in Japan. Symptoms are different for each person, and a cause is unknown. We just need to wait until it is cured spontaneously. And few people continue to have the disease even though they get adults.
Scary. Chuni-Byo (中二病) is really scary. But for sure, you had that disease in your life. Chuni-Byo is contagious. And it is said that the origin of infection is anime, manga, or games. Yes, that means, Otaku people tend to get the disease the most. Well, once a person catches the disease, he/she will be Otaku. As a person becomes an adult, a symptom of Chuni-Byo usually gets better spontaneously, but sadly, some people can't overcome the disease even though they become adults. Those patients usually become Otaku. And if the disease is serious, he/she might make a crazy doujinshi.

Chuni-Byo (中二病) is what teenagers tend to say and do as well as the delusion/wild fancies teenagers tend to have (the teenage rebellious). It's the age to think "unlike other people, I have an excellent talent," and "I'm special." Also, they try to act like an adult, they actually look just ridiculous from other people, try to have a strange sense of justice, he/she has lost other people, etc, how they think and/or act are a little off the point.
In 1999, the word, Chuni-Byo was born. It was used when a radio station was collecting episodes from listeners. Now, it is used as an internet slang. (By the way, Chuni came from 2nd grade of junior high school)
Most of the time, when a patient of Chuni-Byo talks about his/her wild fancies to other people, other people look down on him/her, or if a person finds somebody who has the same view point, patients of Chuni-Byo get along with him/her really well.
You know, I do think Chuni-Byo is necessary for us in order to discover a talent. Chuni-Byo and a talent are a hairsbreadth. Anime, manga, and games that became really popular have the typical setting of Chuni-Byo, haven't they!?

Delusions by patients of Chuni-Byo are extreme: Those patients think I'm the only one who is selected to get such a special and unique skill. But at the end, many of them come from manga, anime, novels, and games, don't you think? But, very few people could create an original world as well as very attractive characters.
Those people with such a special talent play an active role as a creator of manga, anime, novels, or games. Creators are ruined by Chuni-Byo, no, the advanced version of Chuni-Byo, I should say... So, we can say that people who are putting efforts in doujin world exist between Chuni-Byo and creators!?
Anyway, what I really wanna say is Chuni-Byo, which tends to be looked down, isn't a shame at all. If we take the matter seriously, the bright future is waiting for us. Such a wonderful talent may bloom!
