Akihabara Entamatsuri (Entertainment Festival) 2008 has began [from October 18th (Sat) til 26th (Sun)]. And Ascii wrote about it: "from today, 'Akihabara Entamatsuri' will be held until 26th (for 9days).'" Until the 3rd time, stage events were held for 4 days at Entamatsuri, but this year, stage events were held only for 2 days. Every year, I feel like Akihabara Entamatsuri has become smaller and smaller.

Every year, I feel like Akihabara Entamatsuri has become smaller and smaller compare to when the 1st Akihabara Entamatsuri was held. But anyway, Akihabara Entamatsuri (Entertainment Festival) 2008 has began [from October 18th (Sat) til 26th (Sun)]. And Ascii wrote about it: "from today, 'Akihabara Entamatsuri' will be held until 26th (for 9days)!'"

Until the 3rd time, stage events were held for 4 days at Entamatsuri, but this year, stage events were held only for 2 days (the last Saturday and Sunday). On top of that, the number of stage events decreased, I guess. When the first Entamatsuri was held in 2005, a special stage was created near Akihabara Station, but compare to that time, Entamatsuri became smaller.

The 4th "Akihabara Entamatsuri 2008" will be held from October 18th (Sat) to the 26th (Sun), for 9 days, at Akihabara UDX and near the building. This event is to gather fans, publishers of books, makers, and stores at the same time. It's for increasing the content market both inside and outside Japan. Also, it's to contribute making Akihabara a better city.

Many kinds of festivals.. from a lottery, a comic and character exhibition, a library of comics –foreign version-, Revoltech expo '08, I-Space Presents Akihabara Anime Festival 2008, Comic/Bunko Festival, Game Festival, Hobby Festival, Anime DVD/CD Festival, to Blu-ray Festival... will be held.

Also, at an official shop, a ticket for "Kero Gunsou 4 –the Movie-," which will be released in the next spring, and limited goods such as "a certificate examination for anime: Official questions, 2008," "Tora Dora! Tenori Taiger," etc will be sold.

While the festival is going on (October 18th – 26th), if you buy some objected products (Blu-ray soft, Anime DVD, CD, Game Software, and Hobby products), you are able to get a ticket for a lottery (23th – 26th). Flags for a lottery was out at each store, by the way.
