"Otaku from Spain" Bought Lots of Figures (Otonagai) in Akiba
On the 2nd, I saw 4 foreigners who had a lot of paper bags of Asobit City in front of Gamers. They were visitors from Spain and planned to stay in Japan for 16 days. They did "Otonagai" for figures of Yoko from Gurren Lagann, Teacher Mizuho from Onegai Teacher, Taruho from Eureka Seven, etc. One of them said he spent "500,000yen (* 150,000?)" and another person said "I don't care (the price)." [Otonagai: to buy the same item a lot at a time]

Having Lots of Paper Bags, Went to the City of Akiba 2 Out of 4 People Had Backpacks |
On the 2nd, I saw 4 foreigners who had a lot of paper bags of Asobit City in front of Gamers. I talked to them: they were visitors from Spain and planned to stay in Japan for 16 days. They did "Otonagai" for figures of Yoko from Gurren Lagann, Teacher Mizuho from Onegai Teacher, Taruho from Eureka Seven, etc.
Out of 4 Spanish Otaku, one person could speak a bit of Japanese. He told me that figures in Spain are pretty expensive compare to Japanese ones. I asked how much they spent money for figures, and the answer was-- one of them said he spent "500,000yen (* 150,000?)" and another person said "I don't care (the price)." By the way, the person who didn't care about the price said something like he's seen AkibaBlog before. [Otonagai: to buy the same item a lot at a time]
Since the paper bags they had were Asobit City's, I asked a staff at Asobit Chara City about it. The staff said "it's NOT rare to see foreigners buying lots of figures at a time."
