Akihabara Vehicle-free Street: Under Suspension
Due to the “Akihabara Stabbing Spree,” a vehicle-free street in Akihabara is now under suspension. On the 13th, there was a memo: “from June 15th, a vehicle-free road (on every Sunday) would be cancelled for a while." As of the 11th, police had a nightstick in their hands and patrolled and questioned; on the 12th & 13th, police officers still had the stick in their hands.

Due to the “Akihabara Stabbing Spree," a vehicle-free street in Akihabara is now under suspension. On the 13th, there was a memo: “from June 15th, a vehicle-free road (on every Sunday) would be cancelled for a while" in front of Sofmap Main Branch.
So many news have reported about cancellation of the vehicle-free street in Akihabara. Mainichi News reported that “Chiyoda Ward is thinking of resuming a vehicle-free street at the end of July (the earliest).
That was such a tragic accident; I’m still surprised. However, we have to open our stores.
I just pray there will be no copycat crime.
After the accident happened, Akihabara became really quiet. The sales decreased rapidly.
