"1/8 Miku Hatsune," which will be released in September from Good Smile Company is, according to ITmedia News, the company is so happy for a rush of orders. At online shops, most shops have already closed to take orders.
On May 2nd, I checked stores out in Akihabara. Toranoana & Kotobukiya have not started taking orders yet, and Super Modelers & Gamers Main Branch did not have a ticket to make reservation. The reason for that was "at the moment, a wholesale store did not give us enough number of the figure, so it's all up to other wholesale stores." "we are not sure how many of the figure would arrive at our store, so we can not start taking reservations yet." Sofmap & Asobit Chara City have already closed taking orders, and Asobit also closed the same day the store started taking reservation.
So far, I have reported some figures that stopped taking orders right after stores started taking orders on AkibaBlog such as Haruhi Suzumiya Figure and Yuki Nagato Figure from Max Factory. Both of them did not even appear on the store since they were sold out in a second. Miku Hatsune figure will be shipped twice: the first shipment is in September, and the second shipment is in October. The first shipment should be sold out as stores open like Haruhi's figure was.
I asked some staff at some stores the reason why stores closed taking reservation of Miku Hatsune Figure, and the answer was, this time, the number of shipment is much less than the number of Nendoroid Miku Hatsune. I would guess after reading ITmedia News that the number of the first shipment (Sep) would be about 10,000.
