There are some fishy DVD stores in Akihabara, and in November 2007, two stores were exposed. Many of those kinds of stores put a signboard at the most, but the one just opened on the Chuo Street writes "DVD" grandly. The store sells bootleg DVD of Japanese adult anime & bootleg DVD of overseas edition of adult anime. The overseas edition is no masking.

Usually, many of those kinds of stores are difficult to see that the store sells something like these and put a signboard at the most. However, the one just opened on the Chuo Street writes "DVD" on the building grandly. The store sells bootleg DVD of Japanese adult anime & bootleg DVD of overseas edition of adult anime. The overseas edition is no masking.

This store sells Pirate Editions of adult anime DVD mainly by Pink Pineapple, Soft on Demand, Pixy, etc, which are sold at stores, as well as Pirate Editions of adult anime DVD Overseas Editions (No Masking). Each DVD is not in a package: They are in a sleeve with a sheet of paper printed an each package. The price of each DVD is 3,000yen ($30), and if you buy 6 of them at once, the price will be 10,000yen ($100). ($1=100yen)

Just for your knowledge, in Akihabara (Sotokanda, Chiyoda-ku), owners of buildings have the duty to stop opening businesses that are related to something sexual (e.g. obscene DVD/video stores, illegal Massage houses, etc).
