A vehicle-free street in Akihabara on April 20th was full of performances, cosplayers, police, cameras, and TV cameras: police gave warning to the Big Four of Akiba, a lady who calls herself a “sexy idol” opened her legs and showed her butt, some low anglers were taking good (?) shots, and so on.
Among many unique people, when a guy who calls himself, the Big Four of Akiba, who is a cosplayer of Haruhi (on this day, he wore normal clothes, though) got a warning from police, most people were curious. On this day, there was a person who had a message, “
freedom of an expression and rule”- was it a message to think about a vehicle-free street in Akiba once again!?
Sankei Newspaper reported about Akiba’s vehicle-free street before, so because of that (?), for the Golden Week Holiday, police, an administration, and people from the shopping district in Akihabara get together and go on patrol around the city (asahi.com).
The head of the society of Akihabara Electric Town, Mr. Kazushi Ono, says “it is important to think about other people in order for people to shop around without worrying about anything. I would like to keep an interesting culture of Otaku and performers, but we should ask them to control themselves.”
