AkibaBlog

Akihabara has started selling Evangerion Maid Can Coffees of Rei Ayanami & Asuka. As of 11th, Mantanweb News said "those can coffees are REALLY RARE." After a week of their release, when I walked around Akiba on the 13th, I checked how rare those coffees are. They are at stores just like other normal goods.

Akihabara has started selling Evangerion Maid Can Coffees that have illustrations of Rei Ayanami & Asuka from the 6th. As of 11th, Mantanweb News said "those can coffees are REALLY RARE." After a week of their release, when I walked around Akihabara on the 13th, I checked how rare those coffees are. They are at stores just like other normal goods.

According to Netallica, the motif of the Evangerion Maid Can Coffees is the "New Generation of Evangelion - an Apostle Again-" (a Card Reader Machine that operates at Pachinko Hall). A can has an illustration of either Rei or Asuka who wears maid costume. Those cans were already out as the gift for winners at Pachinko. There are only 2 kinds of can coffees: Rei Ayanami ver. & Asuka ver.

I have no idea why Mantanweb writes that those coffees are really rare, but Nikkei "Brain" Column tells us "at a maniac city, Akihabara, only Ayanami figure is sold out." Sunday Sports "Brain" News says "cosplayers never stop to be Rei Ayanami." I just feel like those news are the news that have happened only in the brain of people who love Evangerion.

Nihon Keizai (Nikkei) Newspaper once said: "there should be at least a million people who have fell in love with those characters." Comparing Rei and Asuka, Rei's maid can coffee has sold more than Asuka's, and a staff at a store says, "definitely, Ayanami."
